Financial instruments: derivatives implementation. The Board discussed proposed revisions to five Statement 133 Implementation Issues that were necessitated by the issuance of FASB Statement No. 150, Accounting for Certain Financial Instruments with Characteristics of both Liabilities and Equity. The following Implementation Issues were affected:

Application of Market Mechanism and Readily Convertible to Cash Subsequent to the Inception or Acquisition of a Contract


Application of the Exception to Contracts Classified in Temporary Equity


Mandatorily Redeemable Preferred Stock Denominated in either a Precious Metal or a Foreign Currency [Renumbered as Issue B37]


Hedging an SAR Obligation


Determination of Whether Combinations of Options with the Same Terms Must Be Viewed as Separate Option Contracts or as a Single Forward Contract

The Board did not object to posting the revised Implementation Issues on the FASB website as cleared guidance.
