FASB Addresses Issues Related to the Classification of Compound Financial Instruments That Have Characteristics of Liabilities and Equity

In October of 2000, the FASB issued an Exposure Draft, Accounting for Financial Instruments with Characteristics of Liabilities, Equity, or Both, which establishes standards for accounting for financial instruments.
