External Relations and Communications
The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) is responsible for the oversight, administration, and finances of the FASB and GASB. Part of this mission includes communicating with federal, state and local government officials regarding issues that affect standard-setting in the United States. The FAF external relations and communications department acts as a liaison with these stakeholders, as well as with members of the international, national, local and trade media. The department is also available to assist government officials and members of their staffs with specific questions about accounting standards and current projects on the FASB/GASB agendas.
