Jeffrey J. Diermeier was appointed chairman of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees in October 2012. The FAF is responsible for the oversight of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).

In his role as FAF chairman, Mr. Diermeier focuses primarily on strategic initiatives, provides vision and leadership to the Board of Trustees in achieving the FAF’s oversight activities, consults regularly with the FASB and GASB chairs, and works closely with the FAF president. He also chairs its Executive Committee..

Carol Anthony (John) Davidson is retired senior vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer of Tyco International, where he was responsible for overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting policy across Tyco’s global operations.

Mr. Davidson joined the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees in January 2011. In addition to his role as vice chairman, he is vice chair of the FAF Executive Committee, and co-chairs the Standard-Setting Process Oversight Committee.

Ann Marie Petach, secretary and treasurer of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF), is Senior Managing Director of BlackRock Solutions. Prior to joining the BlackRock Solutions group, she was the chief financial officer of BlackRock. She also was vice president and treasurer at the Ford Motor Company.

Ms. Petach joined the FAF Board of Trustees in October 2012. In addition to her role as secretary and treasurer, she serves on the FAF Finance and Compensation and Private Company Review Committees.

Gary H. Bruebaker is the chief investment officer for the Washington State Investment Board in Olympia, Washington, where he is responsible for the investment and management of the state’s assets. Retired Georgia State Treasurer

W. Daniel Ebersole was appointed to the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees in January 2012. Prior to joining the Board of Trustees, Mr. Ebersole enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career with the state of Georgia, where he served in a number of leadership positions. Prior to his most recent position as senior advisor to the lieutenant governor, he was the state treasurer, where he was responsible for the receipt, investment, accounting, and disbursement of state general, trust and custodial funds, and certain federal funds.

Mr. Ebersole co-chairs the FAF’s Standard-Setting Process Oversight Committee and serves on the Executive and Appointments and Evaluations Committees.

Nancy K. Kopp was appointed to the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board of Trustees in January 2014. Ms. Kopp was elected to the Maryland State Treasurer in February 2002, and re-elected to full four-year terms in 2003, 2007, and 2011. Currently, Treasurer Kopp is a member of the National Association of State Treasurers and chairs its Legislative Committee.

Ms. Kopp serves on the FAF Standard-Setting Process Oversight Committee and the Finance and Compensation Committee. She also is an ex officio member of the Appointments and Evaluations Committee when GASB appointments are being considered.

LLC, a private, institutional asset management firm based in Boston. Prior to her retirement in 2008, Ms. Spruill was a partner and served as head of the International Active Division, as well as a member of the board of directors, executive committee and the partnership committee of the firm.

Luis M. Viceira is the George E. Bates Professor at the Harvard Business School, where he teaches in the areas of investment management and capital markets to both graduate students and practitioners. He has been a member of the faculty of the Harvard Business School since 1998. Professor Viceira’s research studies the design of asset allocation strategies for long-term investors, both individuals and institutions, and the management and organization of large institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, and large asset managers such as mutual fund companies.

Professor Viceira joined the Board of Trustees in August 2009, and chairs its Finance and Compensation committee. He also is a member of the FAF Executive and Standard-Setting Process Oversight committees.
