IN FOCUS:  FASB Update for Private Companies on Revenue from Contracts with Customers

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is pleased to announce a webcast geared toward private companies about implementing the requirements in Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606).  The areas covered will include:
  1. An overview of the revenue model
  2. An update on recent implementation activities and issues that relate to private companies
  3. Resources available to help with implementation questions
  4. Disclosures and Transition
  5. Audience question-and-answer session.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, participants will be able to broadly understand:
  1. The five-step process and some of the requirements in the revenue standard
  2. Private company implementation issues
  3. The disclosure and transition requirements. 
Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions to the panelists during the event.

Advanced Preparation Needed: It is suggested the webcast participants read Topic 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers, in advance of this session. Information about Topic 606—including the original ASU, recent amendments, and educational materials—is available through the FASB implementation portal.

Recommended CPE: 2.0 hours; final CPE earned will be determined based on the length of participation in the program, polling questions as described in CPE Eligibility, and completion of a course survey. Credit is provided only to participants in the live broadcast of this course. Please note that credit is not provided for group viewing. Each participant must be registered separately and meet both polling and duration requirements as per NASBA.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: There is no cost for this course and there is no cancellation penalty. Participants will be notified by email as soon as possible if the course is cancelled for any reason.
